Nebraska 2019 Coronavirus County Map
As of 3/27/2020, the Nebraska Health and Human Service (DHHS) begin to provide a statewide map. We, therefore, decided to stop updating this map.
Through maintaining this map, things have been learned. For one, there need to have a better data system for, say, Nebraska to track the pandemic outbreak. Actually, the system can easily be scaled up to Federal or worldwide. Of cause, the privacy issues is one problem that need to be worked out. Second, I think DHHS has reduced their efforts in providing more detailed information through through their official website. For example, at the beginning, detailed case by case info can be obtained from their official website. At this point, even though the map show the updated count for each county. Some info about the cases are missing - even some links are not provided. To me, this is not just a number game, the extra information about community transfer or not, provided a very important warning message.
As the 2019 Coronavirus spread, it become important to have visual aid to help observing the situation. This page is reserved to report on the condition in Nebraska. It is to serve as the main entrance to the information. It will provide links to appropriate information source with short descriptions since our resource is limited.
